Stella is adjusting really well to her new life in Ecuador it's amazing to see how adaptable she is to her new environment. She is also starting to take some steps, I have a little video that I need to post... Sunday was the first day she actually took a few steps.

Stella is having so much fun with her grandparents in Ecuador. They have been spending a ton Of time together as we have been out and about looking for housing, getting cell phones and other new to town things.

We made it to Ecuador!

 

After getting up at 3 am to leave for the airport in Boise, catching four different flights, traveling from coast to coast and across four time zones we made it to Ecuador around 10:30pm. Jorge's family is so warm and loving and many of them were at the airport to greet us. It has been 3 years since we have been in Ecuador... the last time we were here we were still dating. It's fun to be back now as a little family 👪

Family

My brother and his family came to spend time with us before we go and we have had so much fun with them. We feel so loved that they would travel and spend the weekend with us. Today we went to the Fair as you'll see from the photos below. We are REALLY going to miss my family. I'm looking forward to getting to know Jorge's family.

This morning we realized that we literally had nothing to feed Stella because everything from the kitchen was packed... so she had cold pizza from the fridge. 

Baby Bear

Stella's nickname is baby bear, don't ask me where that name came from I seriously have no idea. The other day we were watching a Sesame Street video and one of the characters on the video is named Baby Bear. I was so surprised. Stella seemed to smile when Big Bird would call Baby Bear, it was to cute.

Girls Camp

I just got back today from spending four days w/18 beautiful young women  at girls camp. I didn't kill anyone w/ my cooking and everyone seemed to have a great time. 

She makes me SMILE...

First Tomato

We harvested our first tomato this morning. Sadly we didn't have the joy of picking it off the vine. We found it on the ground near the plant that had been blown over in a wind storm last night. We're still excited though that something we planted actually lived long enough to bear fruit :)
