Road trip Day 2

Today. We spent 11 hours in the car. The picture below is at breakfast where it was snowing outside in Wyoming.

Most of the day we spent driving through Nebraska.

Road trip to New York {day#1}

We started our journey to our new home, for the summer, in New York. We left West Jordan, UT after church and arrived in Rawlins, Wyoming around 9:45. We had hoped to make it to Laramie but it started to snow and with all the huge semi trucks blazing by it was kind of a crazy snow storm. If you follow my blog you will get to experience over the next week our trip with us. We hope you enjoy!

As you leave Utah headed for Wyoming the scenery is incredible. There were beautiful green meadows, lots of trains, and really cool rock formations.

Jorge and I have been reading tons of church history in preparation for our trip because we have pLanned to stop at a lot of the sites. We arrived at our first church history site by accident, at a rest stop, in Lyman, Wyoming. We are so grateful for our pioneer ancestors who truly sacrificed so much. This is rough country we are going through and it I think about them being out in the cold and heat and rain and snow and it makes me never want to complain again :)

On The Road Again

We are up for our 10th move in 4 1/2 years and I'm hoping not many more after that. I feel a bit transient 😉. Despite not wanting to move I'm excited about the adventures our summer will bring and am looking forward to lots of sight seeing around the East Coast this summer.

Stella and Jorge made a huge fort w/ all our boxes

It's official the storage facility is rented and our first few things are in it.

The little learning path 👣

Today it was so warm outside which is amazing because as I write tonight there is a thin layer of snow on the ground. What a contrast! Anyways we did our laundry today and in between washing and drying we went exploring. We stumbled on the cutest little path called Born to Learn where every few feet there are learning activities to do with your child. We played hopscotch, rubbed the bark of a tree, created a story, stood on the Y and yelled a cheer. It was really fun!

Friends

Tonight we got together with some old friends who recently bought a house in Pleasant Grove. The last time we saw them they had 2 children and now they have four. It's so fun to see good families growing and progressing. Rachelle also served Ceviche and empanadas which were very tasty.

Date Night

It's had been way to long since Jorge and I went out on a date so tonight was extra fun. We went to campus and watched a comedy group perform. We laughed a lot and enjoyed the walk across campus on a relatively warm spring night.

My Cutie Patootie

Today there were men on our roof replacing the shingles and it was so loud we decided to spend the afternoon out of our apt. We went to a great park first and then to Provo Beach Resort. We walked around and just checked everything out thankfully she's still young enough that she's amused by just being around fun stuff.

Easter Egg Dying

Our cute neighbors from Brazil and Mexico City came over tonight to dye Easter Eggs. We taught them about our traditions and we all had a fun night. This year we colored the first egg red which on the outside symbolizes the death of Jesus and on the inside represents new life.
