Picking peaches

My parents peach tree is loaded w/ delicious, juicy, organic peaches. Stella, w/ her grandpa and his friend picked two full boxes of peaches. She loved it!

Scenic Drive

Jorge came to Idaho for a rafting trip w/ the MBA program & since I'm in Idaho helping my mom we thought we would take a drive up to the Payette River and see if we could find them rafting. We didn't end up finding them but the drive was gorgeous, the air fresh and clean and we had a great time. I'm so glad that my moms recovery is going so well, she is amazing! Jorge had a great time and met a ton of people. Two guys fell out of the boat he was in in class 4 rapids but they were able to get them back on board quickly. I'm so grateful he was safe and had fun. 

Cousin Time

These two are so cute!! Stella wanted to swing and BreElle was right there to push her & whatever one did the other one followed. We didn't have enough time together today hopefully our next trip to Twin Falls we can play a whole lot longer.

Date Night/ MBA Networking Event

Had a great time w/ Jorge tonight at an MBA event. The speaker was Sheri Dew we had front row seats and I was in heaven. She has been an inspiration to me for years and tonight she didn't disappoint. I'm so thankful for these enriching opportunities. 

Immunizations

Stella got her last vaccine until she's 4 and thank goodness it will be awhile before she gets her next one. She was sad all afternoon and tonight she didn't even want me to take her pants off to put on her PJs. She got the shot in her thigh and so I think she was terrified because the last time I pulled them down she got a shot. This is her laying in our bed tonight, she wanted to be right with us all evening. On a side note, her nose picking is getting better, meaning less frequent, but tonight she fell off the wagon. It was a hard day ;)

1st year MBA BBQ

Tonight we got together w/ all of the entering MBA students and their families for BBQ at the park. Stella was in heaven there were so many kids. It was fun meeting the people that Jorge will be spending so much time with this year. BYU catered the event and it was delicious, there were no hot dogs or hamburgers but a delicious cranberry, meandering orange salad, baked potato wedges with cheese, pulled pork and beef and a mixed bean salad. Thank you BYU!

Chloe turns 3!!

We celebrated cute Chloe's birthday today. She is so much fun and such a doll. She got tons of dress up clothes and Frozen paraphernalia. Stella was in heaven just looking at everything. On the way home we saw a full rainbow, it was gorgeous and so rare to see the entire thing, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Snow

At 4:30 in the morning we woke up to an intense thunderstorm and it was loud. That was actually the 3rd or 4th storm this week. In the morning Stella and I set out on a walk and looked up at the mountains and noticed that the peaks were covered in snow :( yuk, I'm not ready for winter.

Provo Temple Gardens

We went for a walk this morning and found these amazing gardens behind the temple. Stella never sits and smiles for pictures so I'm calling this photo shoot a miracle :) She is so fun, smart and cute! I feel so blessed to be her mother. 

Summertime

Our bounty from the farmers market today, everything was delicious!! Stella had probably 5 servings of green beens.

Evening walks in the summer are the best, the weather has cooled off and it's still warm and light enough after dinner. It was the perfect night for a walk.

Jorge's a grad student

It's official: he's on his way to being the next Warren Buffet ;) They had to wear a suit and tie on their first day, apparently they take things pretty seriously around here ;) this week at BYU is Education Week and there are a billion people on campus, the parking situation is crazy, so I got to drop him off on his first day, I kind of felt like a proud mom. We are loving it here, as some of you know we were accepted at Babson college in Boston and I really wanted to live there and experience life in the Northeast. Making the decision to come to BYU was one of the hardest decisions to make for our family. After his first day he came home and said I know I'm at the right school and I feel the same way. I'm so excited for him, this has been his goal since we've been married and he's worked so hard to get here. Yay for Jorge!!!

Sunday Drive

We are getting all settled in to our new home and city. This afternoon we took a drive to a nearby canyon that is about 10 min from our house. It is gorgeous!! We drove to an incredible waterfall, crossed a bridge over a mountain stream and went for a walk in nature. Our Heavenly Father has created so many beautiful things for us to enjoy.

Our Morning Walk

Stella and I go for a morning walk most days and I just love it. It's fun to get out with her and explore. Today we walked past a house that had been toilet papered. She laughed and thought it was so fun. Today on our walk she asked me to lay her chair back, she's never done that before, and she turned her head to the side, closed her eyes & slept for 2 hours. 

My moms surgery

My mom is such a trooper, she had shoulder replacement surgery this week and is doing so well. Love her!

After being in the US for 3wks to attend a family reunion and Jorge still working in Ecuador it was a sweet reunion tonight. I have the best husband ever!
