The Sky
I went out tonight for a bit by myself and it's amazing how a little alone time every now and again can do wonders. I thought this sky was particularly lovely on my drive home.

Maturing
It's amazing how much kids learn and grow and mature each month. Stella is getting so much better at playing games and sticking w/ tasks. The task part is still pretty brief but it's a noticeably better than previously. It's been raining here the last couple of days and so we haven't been able to go to the park but I've been having such great quality time with her every morning working, ready and playing, it's been great.

Sunday
We had to be at church at 8 this morning and on our way in we ran into a wild turkey in the parking lot. You never know what you are going to see here.
This picture is so random but Stella is in on the right side toward the back. We were invited to a cookie party tonight, it was a perfect night to be outside it was warm and we had a great time meeting new people in our ward & Stella couldn't believe we were going to a party devoted to cookies. She kept asking on the way there if we were really going to a party w/ cookies. She fell asleep happy.

Our apt restoration
Today was part 2 of the "Restoration". We had the ceiling painted and mold removed. When we moved into the apt there were some issues which the former tenants really let go. Water stains on the ceiling, mold, leaky faucets, bent screens, A/C unit broken. I've heard they were 2 college students so maybe they were just really busy and didn't notice how bad things had gotten. Your probably wondering why we would even rent something that had so many problems. We were pretty desperate to find something furnished, short term, in our price range, w/ in driving distance to work. Anyways we are just thrilled over the last few days the apt has been restored to its former glory. ;)

The Park
She is getting pretty adventurous these days. Usually the first time she is a little hesitant but once she's mastered a new skill she's good to go.

The little Stell girl
You guys I can't stop laughing about these pictures below. I think I already mentioned this in a previous post but the place we moved to was previously the home of a 4 y/o. She and her mother are in Seattle for the summer. Anyways we have become the benefactors of so much great stuff including a ton of real Disney dress up dresses. (We have cheesy knock offs at home) So she put on a dress and looked so darling I told her to freeze because I was going to grab my camera to take a picture. I was gone for a nano second and upon arrival she was in position, photo #1 and then she told me to take another one and changed position to photo #2. I don't even know where she gets it from...she is the funniest little girl. Today we checked out of our previous apt and the landlord (total New Yorker, serious and direct) gave us both hugs and said that we were the bright spot in her day when we would come down to her office (it was in the same bldg that we lived in). It wasn't me that made her day, people love Stella and what's not to love.
