Game Time

We really hit the jackpot w/ our new apt. The family that we're subleasing from has a four y/o girl and the house if full of toys and games which we brought so little of. Stella and Jorge had tons of fun playing hungry hungry hippos. Stella's super competitive!

Holy Moly... We moved again

We found a new apt that was furnished and much cheaper and we decided to move. We got the keys today and are almost all moved in (we don't have that much stuff). I'm so grateful that they gave us the keys a couple of days early because originally it was planned for Monday and Jorge would have been working and I would have moved by myself w/ Stella. It was wonderful to have his help today.

We got up early this morning to go hiking and hiked literally from our house to the shores of Irondequoit Bay. It took us just under 40 minutes to make it to the lookout. It was really beautiful and I'm so glad that we got to do it before we left our old apt.

Quiet Time

Lately Stella is a little hit and miss on her naps. I know I wrote a post months ago about her stopping to take naps but that didn't last long she went back to napping and has been until recently. I know that now that she is 3 she may not technically need them anymore but I still need them ;) so whether she takes a siesta or not we are going to still do quiet time. Today she didn't sleep during her quiet time but instead put on her bathing suit and all of her pairs of summer Jammie's oh yeah and her rash guard too. She takes dress up to a whole new level.

We are alive... and well 👧🏻

Holy Moly it's been a little while since I've blogged and tonight I'm re omitting to get back on the bandwagon. I got out of the habit because during our long trip back east we were all in the hotel room together and Jorge and I would pretend to fall asleep so that Stella would fall asleep (except I'm pretty sure every night we actually did fall asleep while "pretending") anyways we had the best road trip ever, we saw amazing things, had near perfect weather and had fun. We are loving our new life in Rochester. It's gorgeous here!! There are historic homes and neighborhoods everywhere and it makes for a quaint rustic feel. Jorge has been at his internship for almost 3 weeks and he's enjoying it. He has 3 really interesting projects that he's working on. One of particular interest to me is his work with conflict minerals. If you've seen Blood Daimond w/'Leonardo Dicaprio you know a little bit about it. Anyways we are feeling more and more settled here and celebrated Stella's birthday this week which I will have to post more about tomorrow.
